TASO-SSA uses the Arbiter Payroll package to track referee accounts. This package allows us to calculate assigning fees, assessment fees, dues and payments made by the individual referees. Referees can access their account information by selecting "Invoices" from the Payments tab on the "Start Page".
Referees need to check their "Account Statement" regularly to keep their balance up-to-date. Invoices are run monthly during the season. Notices are sent out when the invoices are posted. Accounts with a balance greater than $5 need to be paid promptly. Please check your account regularly. Check the Arbiter Help page if you need help with viewing or printing your Account Statement or Invoice.
Assigning Fees
The task of assigning games is too large for an individual to schedule manually on a volunteer basis. TASO-SSA realized this many years ago with the purchase of a computer based assigning program, Arbiter, and by compensating the person(s) doing the assigning. We switched to the online version of Arbiter to allow direct communication with the referees. To offset these costs, the chapter charges an assigning fee. The Arbiter license fee is paid up front while the assignor is paid regularly throughout the season. We need the referees cooperation in paying their assigning fees on a timely basis so we can pay our obligations.
